This year, I'm growing a mustache for the month of November to raise money for Lynchburg Beacon of Hope. Here's why I'm supporting Beacon of Hope... I've known about them for years and always been a fan. At the beginning of the year, I did a podcast with their former executive director Laura Hamilton. I found the nuance, strategy, and promise of the work that they're doing fascinating. You can listen to Laura talk about their work here. https://lynchburgneighborhood.com/episodes/episode-27-laura-hamilton-beacon-of-hope
A few short months later, I got to speak at Beacon's fundraising event HopeX at the Academy in downtown Lynchburg. Connecting with so many kids that had come through their program and getting to share my story was one of the most rewarding things I've ever done. You can watch my short talk here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OjovtUgftFM
I recently joined Beacon's board and it has been a joy so far to serve and support their great team.
And that's why I'm growing a terrible mustache. For the kids at Lynchburg Beacon of Hope.
I'd be honored to have your support!
