I am growing a terrible mustache to shine some light on the Lynchbug Christmas Store, The Isaiah 117 House and Impact Living Services. My goal is to bring more than $1000 to these two fabulous groups:

The Lynchburg Christmas Store in connection with Gospel Community Church, provides a shopping experience and relational connection for local families that otherwise could not afford to purchase Christmas gifts for their kids.  Parents can pay reduced prices or pay with volunteer hours that bless their own community.  It's a great way to offer a solution that maintains dignity and respect along with lasting relational connection.

Impact Living Services provides vocational training, mentoring, and solutions for foster kids aging out of the system.  This is one of the most vulnerable times in a foster kid's life where many find themselves homeless and turning to prostitution or crime to make ends meet.  This program loves these young adults well and helps them discover opportunities and develop character that transforms their lives.

Isaiah 117 House is a loving and well stocked home where foster kids start their foster journey along well trained volunteers and staff that love them with the love of Christ.  Imagine being removed from your home and family as a child... confused, scared, angry, hurt.  Kids at this vulnerable time used to be taken to the court house where they spent hours and sometimes multiple days and nights in a very sterile conference room type setting.  Now, in many cities, foster kids are brought to Isaiah 117 homes that are stocked with toys and healthy food and loving volunteers and staff welcome kids and love them through this difficult transition until they are placed in a more long term family.
