Tobi Laukaitis
You know how much I love our local library? Enough to wear a fake mustache in public for the entire month of November.
Hi, I'm Tobi. If you don't know me, I'm the face behind the Lynchburg Public Library social media accounts. This year, I'm participating in Mustaches For Kids because why leave all the fundraising to the men? And I'm not alone. 2025's Growing Season has a lot of other amazing women participating for their organizations and non-profits. Way to go, ladies!
So why am I doing this? For one, M4K wants to break some fundraising records this year. Secondly, a portion of the money raised by growers goes toward funding library youth programs like Summer Reading and our Trick-or-Treat Party.
2026 is shaping up to be a big year for LPL. Not only are we closing for our much-anticipated renovation to modernize the Main Library, but it's also our 60th Anniversary, and we're commissioning a bookmobile. All of this helps us continue our founding mission of being a library for all citizens.
My goal is to raise $500. When you donate, you're not only helping support the library but also dozens of other amazing Lynchburg organizations that help kids in our community. And you also get to help me embarrass myself in public. Win-win.
