Community Arts in Action

Community Arts in Action is an Academy Center of the Arts initiative that
aims to provide the power of the arts to youth in the community who may
not have access to such activity due to financial, emotional, or
psychological barriers. The Academy's program includes mentoring, a caring community, and an opportunity to learn new skills and explore self
expression. The Academy believes that every child in our community should
have access to the healing power of the arts.

The Academy Center of the Arts is Greater Lynchburg’s center for arts, culture, and community building. Our mission is to serve our community through arts and culture, and we believe the arts must be an accessible resource in our community for its impact to be felt.
